On a dark blue field with gold fringe at sides and bottom; two crossed gold bugles, bells down, above a gold field piece in front of a red wall mortared dark blue and upon a green mount, all enclosed by a gold shield shaped border and between a white scroll bordered gold, inscribed "THE ARMY GROUND FORCES BAND" in red at top and a representation of a piece of the Mexican War streamer inscribed "MONTEREY 1846" in proper colors at bottom.
